Okada Trucking Co., Ltd. was founded in 1931 by Harry T. Okada and began doing business as a trucking company. Subsequently, the company provided hauling services to site work contractors throughout the Island of O'ahu. Although it was extremely difficult for any Japanese owned business entity to survive during World War II, Okada Trucking provided equipment repair services to the U. S. Military and continued to thrive.
When Mr. Harry T. Okada's son, Sonny T. Okada, took over the leadership, Sonny expanded the operations to include site work, building construction, and property development. The corporation became a major player in construction and property development throughout the State of Hawai'i.
Today, Okada Trucking is a general contractor that has been in business for over 78 years. Under the guidance of Mr. Harry T. Okada's grandson, Gavin T. Hubbard, Okada Trucking still actively participates in the traditional bidding process, but is also now well-versed in design-assist and design-build projects for both government and private sectors. In keeping with its history, Okada Trucking continues to be well-respected and significant force in Hawai'i construction industry.

Okada Trucking is proud to be a family owned operation which maintains
the business philosophies passed down from generation to generation.
These philosophies allow for the continued success in Hawai'i's
competitive market.
